Coronavirus help groups are setup around the country

CoronavirusAs the Coronavirus pandemic spreads across the world, we are realising that we must help those who are less able than ourselves.

There are lots of local help groups being setup around the country. The current list is here, with links to existing groups and how-to setup a new group for your village. Locally there are already groups in Haymill, Burnham, Marlow, Gerrards Cross and Holtspur.

The Parish council is supporting the Burnham, Buckinghamshire group. We are using existing community groups to pull in volunteers and make contact with those needing help. The Facebook group has lots of advice for residents - what the health centre and pharmacists are doing, what shops have essential items etc. The next step is setting up street coordinators to cover the whole area, and identify everyone who might need help.

Please use your campaigning skills to help the community if that is appropriate.

Whatever you do, stay safe and ask for support from the community groups (or the Lib Dems) if you need it.
