Peter Chapman retires from the committee
Peter Chapman has retired from the local executive committee. He will be missed for his calming presence and knowledge of all things Liberal Democrat.
He joined the LibDems 20 years ago. He has been involved in 6 general elections in this constituency, 3 as candidate and 3 as agent. 5 were as an opponent to Dominic Grieve, and the sixth one as his agent feels like a good closure.
Having previously been the local chair of the party, he took up the mantle again at very short notice in 2015 and kept the constituency group going through turbulent times.
The committee wish him a long and happy retirement in his new home (when he eventually moves). We would like to thank him for his contribution to the party over 20 years and for being a loyal and trusted colleague and friend.
