The climate emergency is an existential threat. Air pollution is damaging too many lives.

The Conservatives haven't taken this problem seriously. We have no time to lose: this is an urgent crisis that demands real action now. The Liberal Democrats demand action now.

In Detail with a video

In summary,

  • Ban fracking - we don't need to find new carbon fuels
  • Double green electricity generation to preplace gas and coal generation
  • Ensure 4M properties receive installation refits, prioritising the fuel poor
  • Prevent 40,000 premature deaths by cutting air pollution

We know what needs to be done. We need government action of setting up the financial and tax incentives and resources. We need to work with the EU and other countries on climate commitments, nuclear cooperation, pesticides, animal welfare and food safety. We need to cut waste - REPAIR, REUSE, RECYCLE - and fund local government to ensure commitments are met.
